Game 5…. After a 3 week's break, it was good to get back on the court. This week we welcomed the Surrey Rams2 to Admiral Lord Nelson School and our boys continued the good form and took another home win.
In the First Quarter, A strong tip saw us with possession and after a few back-and-forth turnovers Dylan Keating got the first points on the board for Portsmouth Force, with a good spread of points from all the Force boys on the court we ended Q1 with a 10-point lead
Second Quarter, another strong scoring quarter for the Portsmouth Force, with points from Jonas, Max, Issac and Leon along with a solid defensive game leading to Portsmouth taking the second quarter and extending our lead …. We also saw debutant Austin Milner get his first minutes for the team
Third Quarter, our highest-scoring quarter with 23 points on the board, Surrey changed tactics and implemented a full-court press, but our boys quickly overcame this and continued to score well
Fourth Quarter, a very strong end to the game and more points spread around the team with nearly all Force players getting on the scoresheet, A good tactical performance and adherence to the game plan set out by the coaches saw us take a solid win
The boys have done very well today and played excellently to get a win, we can see real team cohesion along with a strong desire to play for each other and the Portsmouth Force, not only did we get the win we celebrated Charlie Milner’s birthday so a very good day all round
Next week we are on the road for an away game against the Brighton Cougars2 - BN1 9PW on Sunday 11/12/22
