Portsmouth Force v Surrey Rams II
Sunday 10th December 2023

Portsmouth hosted the Surrey Rams game at their home court at Admiral Lord Nelson, our last home game before the Christmas break.

The first quarter saw Portsmouth dominate the game with 19 points scored with Gabriel scoring 6 of the points. Jon, Cohen, Adrian, Jordan and Toby D all adding to the score too. The Rams struggled to keep up the pace finishing the quarter on 19:9.

Portsmouth continued to keep the Rams at bay, only getting 9 points in the quarter with Portsmouth pushing their score to 34 by the end of the second quarter. Josh, Jon, Adrian and Gabriel all contributing to the baskets.

Quarter three saw a lot of good defensive play and 23 points added to our score. The boys kept the pressure on, displaying some great defensive play but also a steady stream of baskets from Jon, Rob, Jordan, Josh, Gabriel and Adrian.

Emotions started to run high in the forth quarter, with the Rams feeling the pressure from Force and the boys determined to keep hold of their lead. The Rams managed to bring their score up with an extra 14 points with Asafe securing 8 of the 18 points, the rest from Jon, Rob, Mo, Jamie and Toby P. The game finished with a win of 75:40 for the Portsmouth Force boys.

A relatively easy win for Portsmouth but Rams point guard worked hard keeping them in the game. All attention now focused on next week for a big game against Waverley Wolfpack who we beat at home by just 1 point.
